Week 74- Last and Final Letter
Well, this is it. I can not express how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to serve a full time mission for the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My mission has meant so much to me and has helped me grow in so many ways to become a better person and a better, more fully converted disciple of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful and overwhelmed with emotion when I think about the privilege I have had to teach about our loving Heavenly Father to people here in Cambodia who have never even heard of Him. It is amazing how much love and trust I have felt from God as I have helped His children come to know Him and His Son, Jesus Christ. I am excited to start the next new chapter in my life and to be able to apply all that I have learned while on my mission. Thank you for all the support and love!
I'll see you soon. I seriously can't wait!
And heads up, first hug is for Mom. :)
Much, much Love-

Week 73- Almost Done
This week was great! I am currently at an Internet shop with a bunch of Khmer women who just realized I can speak Khmer also. They keep taking pictures and videos of me with them. They keep doing this "Live video" thing... I have no idea what it is though.. I think it is on facebook. I'm not sure. It was funny the first five mins but it's been an hour and I just want to email in peace!! haha
We gave Ming Savlery the last couple lessons this week. We taught about priesthood and she had a really hard time understanding why women don't hold the priesthood. We did our best to explain all that we could, but we ended up commiting her to go home and pray about it. We were a little nervous because it was the first time she had a problem understanding something. We met with her the next day and she came running up to us and told us that God answered her prayers! He told her that the priesthood is His power and has allowed worthy men in the church to hold and it is her duty to support God's priesthood holders. WOW. We were so blown away!! She is on schedule to be baptized and confirmed this week! So happy I will be able to see her be baptized!
That is all i have time to share! Thank you all for the emails. I guess I will hear from you all next week.... and see you! WHAT. THIS IS SO UNREAL.
Love you!!

We went to battombong this week for exchanges and had no ac in the room we slept because it broke... so we slept on the floor with fans and i wore the scarf on my head so my hair wouldnt touch my face. IT WAS SO HOT. I was paranoid of all the spiders and bugs. It was great.
These are all the shoes at the church. They like to take thier dirty shoes off before entering into the Lord's church. Can you find my shoes?

Week 72- Staying Busy
This week was another amazing week full of teaching! We ended up having a baptism of some girls who were in part member families! They were all super cute and super shy. The baptism was a really great experience because the mother of two of the children is not a member and she came for all three hours of church and the baptism that followed church. The other girl's father also came to church who has been inactive for a while. They are such good examples for their families!
We met with Ming Salvery a ton this last week. She told us that there were two days she didn't read the scripturesand those days ended up being the hardest day of the week because she could tell the holy ghost wasn't with her. She promised herself to never miss a day so she could always have that special feeling with her. She came to the baptism on Sunday and it made her so excited for her own. We have her baptism planned for the last Saturday before I leave for home and that Sunday she will also get confirmed. I hope it all works out so I can be there! It not, that's okay too.
Enjoy all the pictures!
Love you!

We were able to go through Angkor Wat ancient temple grounds with our district again for our Pday. This is always fun. Lots of pictures.
